Police can't accept gifts..How can we get around this?

I work at a pizza place and it was recently robbed..again...The police did a 20 cop manhunt with dogs and helicopters and ended up finding them :) We are so grateful, my boss wants to send them pizza and my friends and i want to bake them cookies. How can we show our appreciation without it seeming like gifts, which we were told they can't accept?
