When giving examples of beautiful black women, why do people name women who are NOT fully black?

You can't really blame people... Most well-known black women in the media are actually mixed. Fully black women are usually women less known like Nia Long and others. I never learned their names until I came to this section. Also, in America there is something called the One Drop rule. So people consider those women to be black regardless of any admixture.
