My husband is having superiority complex...pls help?

hello frnds.i am working in a private firm and earning a small salary,small but it is adequate for my personal needs.my husband is a highly qualified person who got his Phd from a reputed institution and has a highly ranked job with plenty of income.but he is now making fun of me as i hadn'tt got much education compared to him and my job is very menial.I am proud of my husband and respect his position and education but he says that i am disturbing him with my job.he told me to quit the job and be a housewife.also my husband never helps me in any household duties and when i ask he says iam a bureaucrat and i cant cook food and wash your clothes.but he is a gentleman otherwise having a great personality.Shall i quit the job for him?
