How can i peirce my lip by myself and not pay money?

my girlfriend loves to make out and especialy with someone with a li ring so im going to do it. i just got a lip ring from a friend and im saving up money to buy somehting for my girlfriend on our 6 month. 18th. well i peirced my ears with just needles and thumb tacs so i was just gonna do that with my lip but idk. so anyone know ho to do this or a website that can help me.
