In the house of night book 'untamed', did zoey and stark imperent?

Before stark died, zoey kissed him when he was bleeding. Some of the blood would have had to go into her mouth. Maybe that describes why she thought her and stark had a connection. I then thought that to imperent, both must drink from each other like zoey and loren, but Heath did not drink from zoey. I am confused.
