Is there anyway I can prevent my wife from taking my daughter on a flight?
so get your daughter's pport - i presume you consented to her having one or neither you nor your wife would be able to travel with her over the border at all. in canada, a parent taking a kid out the country needs a signed consent to travel from the other parent. you need to contact the cops and a lawyer, and maybe even write a sworn affidavit stating that you prohibit the removal of your kid from canada under any cirstances, report this issue to the cops and immigration as well as every airline. also when applying for travel. not only is the pport and signed consent needed, but also the information of the travel dates, contact details overseas, addresses, ppl visiting etc needed. often, and "invitation" from someone in the country being visited too, with full details is needed when applying for a visa. abduction overseas is not taken lighty, and canada is very active even in turkish countries with interpol in finding kids under these cirstances, the abducter stand to lose all custodial rights - period. speak to the cops and immigration.
