Philosophy/rawls help!!!?

Rawls is saying that in order to form a truly perfect society laws would have to be decided upon without regard to certain socioeconomic factors. So he is saying that we must ignore our status and the advantages we randomly got from birth by being born into certain families and areas to form true principles of justice. Principles that would be fair and just to all.
